A fire of unknown cause razed a commercial building late Saturday afternoon in Binondo, Manila.
The Binondo fire is the latest of a wave of fire incidents that hit the country this March, which is ironically the Fire Prevention Month.
Sketchy reports said the fire that broke out at 5:26 p.m. struck the building located at the corner of Sto. Cristo and San Nicholas streets.
Fire investigators said the blaze that engulfed building reached 3rd alarm at 5:43 p.m. Firefighters raced to the fire scene and battled the flames to spare other commercial establishments.
The name of the commercial building is not yet known. No casualty was reported as of posting time.
