A MAN was injured in a fire that razed a residential area in Tondo, Manila, Monday night. Fire officials said Boyet Enterino, of Kawit and Paulino Streets in Balut, Tondo, suffered second degree burns in the fire that started in his house at around 10 p.m. Enterino remains confined at the Tondo General Hospital where he was rushed for treatment. The fire, which reached the fifth alarm, quickly spread to adjacent houses which were mostly made of light materials, arson investigators said. Some residents in the area claimed that the fire, which was put out about 15 minutes later, was sparked by a leaking liquefied petroleum gas tank which exploded.
