A fire of still undetermined origin broke out at the old building of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office beside Adamson University at San Marcelino St., in Ermita, Manila, radio dzBB reported on Tuesday.

The report said the fire that was raised to the fifth alarm, has razed down the first and second floors of the building. It has also started to eat portions of the ceiling. At least 10 fire trucks have arrived at the area to put off the fire but the wind has kept the blaze growing.

DzBB said investigators are baffled by the cause of the fire because the building had long been condemned. The supply of electricity had also been cut off a long time ago.
