Early-morning rush-hour traffic in Quezon City was snarled Monday after a bus caught fire while plying its route along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA).

No one was reported hurt in the incident as the driver of the "JMK Liner" bus ordered all his passengers to get out of the bus in Cubao district in Quezon City.

Radio dzBB reported that the incident occurred at 7:30 a.m. while the bus was plying the southbound lane of EDSA, when the driver noticed smoke from the back portion of the bus.

The smoke quickly turned into flames, prompting the driver to stop at the yellow lane, just across Ramon Magsaysay High School in Cubao, and order his passengers to get out.

Firefighters eventually put out the fire.
