An actor's namesake and three other people became homeless Sunday after fire destroyed their houses in Sampaloc, Manila, ABS-CBN News reported.

The fire started at 2:19 p.m. at the house of Boyet de Leon at 606 Alitada St. in the Balic-Balic area.

The blaze spread to the adjacent houses before firefighters were able to put it under control at 2:48 p.m. It was declared fire out five minutes later.

Investigators said the fire originated from an unattended air conditioning unit in de Leon’s house.

No one was hurt in the incident.
