Fire damaged a two-storey residential house in Purok Macapeņa, Brgy. 6, Bacolod City at about 11:05 p.m. Wednesday.

The blaze started at the room of Richie and Christian Vargas located at the northeast portion of the house, and burned other light materials, fire reports said.

Richie Vargas sustained first-degree burns on her right wrist.

Initial reports showed the fire which gutted about P150,000 in property, was caused by an unattended lighted candle.

The fire was contained after 15 minutes with the help of firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection, Chamber and Amity Volunteer Fire Brigades, reports also said.
