A fire of unknown origin razed 10 shanties near the Divisoria commercial district in Manila on Saturday night, ABS-CBN News reported.

The fire, which lasted for one hour, destroyed the shanties along Estero de Magdalena on Aguilar Street.

Arson investigators said fire broke out as residents were watching news reports about the upcoming fight between the Philippines' Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales of Mexico in Las Vegas.

Residents said the fire started at 6:30 p.m. and reached the fourth alarm before it was put out at 7:22 p.m.

Firefighters said they had a hard time putting reaching the area because of the narrow streets leading to the community.

No injuries were reported. Investigators have yet to report the cause of the blaze.
