A 40-MINUTE fire authorities suspect may have been caused by a candle hit a two-story apartment building in Taguig City Wednesday, destroying some P1 million worth of property.
The blaze, which began at 10 a.m., was traced to the unit occupied by a Percy Castillo on Phase II, Pinagsama Village. According to the building owner, Benjamin Tolentino, Castillo's unit had no electricity prior the blaze.
Arson investigators said a candle could have triggered the fire that reached the fourth alarm.
Four families were left homeless but no one was reported hurt, said arson investigator Senior Fire Officer 1 Douglas Modomo.
