A man died after fire broke out at a community in Barangay Potrero, Malabon late Saturday night, ABS-CBN News reported Sunday.

Banny Nierva, 26, was found at an alley inside the compound along Juliana Street. His feet was tangled with a live electrical wire.

Firemen said Nierva could have been trapped after he defied warnings and kept on going in and out of the burning community past 11 p.m. Saturday.

The victim died before reaching a hospital.

The blaze that reached the fourth alarm was put out after an hour.

Probers said a blast from a liquefied petroleum gas tank could have caused the blaze.
