A BIG fire struck a plastics factory in Valenzuela City on Saturday, injuring three people and damaging manufacturing equipment and materials.
As of 3 p.m., the fire that started at 6:35 a.m. had not yet been put out, although it was already contained by firefighters.
The blaze hit the Asian Plastic Center at 5039 Sto. Rosario Street, Mapulang Lupa.
The general manager, identified as James Lee, reportedly tried to go back to the burning building for some belongings, but sustained burns in the process, fire officials said.
Security guard Alex Cantillon suffered burns in the face and ear. Fire volunteer Michael Cruz sustained minor burns in his leg.
Firefighters found it hard to put out the fire because of highly flammable materials, officials said.
