Three incidents of fire struck Metro Manila on Sunday, abs-cbnNEWS.com learned.
In Tondo, Manila, fire consumed at least 30 shanties in a squatter's area in Parola Compound's Gate 15.
Senior Fire Officer 2 Melanio Lara of the Tondo Fire Sation said the blaze started at about 10 a.m. from the house of the Santos family.
The fire reached the 5th alarm before it was put out past 11 a.m.
Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the blaze. No one was reported hurt in the incident.
In Tandang Sora, Quezon City, fire gutted three apartment units Sunday morning.
Arson investigators said the blaze started at 10 a.m. after an electrical overload in one of the units along Philam Drive in Barangay Pasong Tamo.
In Marikina, a sausage factory in Barangay San Roque burned down.
Reports said that the fire started at 6 a.m. after flames were seen from inside the factory. Aside from the factory, fire gutted six cars parked nearby.
No one was reported hurt.
